What is your educational background? (ie where and what did you study?)

I don't have formal education. I was raised by hand in a small farm in Devon, England.

What do you do at EA? And what are your main responsibilities?

VP Marketing for EALA/Pandemic. Grow my team to be future leaders, partner with our studios to provide market points of view to sharpen their creative ideas, create marketing strategies that raise EA's games above the crowd and ensure long term plans are in place for continued success

What do you love about your job?

Ultimately the people I work with and the challenges that we choose to make and solve. From a pure marketing perspective I like figuring out how to reach more people, meaningfully, with our products

Why did you choose to work in gaming?

I was intrigued by games and I was in the right place at the right time back in 1992

My friend worked there

Describe life at EA?

Like the shifting sands of a mysterious desert - populated by nomadic tribes of artists, tradesmen and beggars.

What are your future career ambitions?

EA's CEO

What are your favorite games/entertainment, both EA and non-EA?

I have perennial favourites such as Zelda, NHL, World of Warcraft and PGR. I like cars so anything that let's me drive fast gets my vote. Movies do it for me too - I'm intrigued by the statement that we're 'interactive entertainment' yet a good movie or song will engage with you far more than a good game on deeper levels. If we can emulate that magic we're in for good times. Some of my favourites include The Man Who Would Be King, any Sergio Leone Western, Midnight Run, Snatch, Aladdin and many more. In music I bounce between Sinatra, Zeppelin, Air, Cassius, U2 and anything that grabs my attention.
